Kowloon Terminal Station.

As for the new work in the Kowloon Terminus,

this is an additional and very heavy responsibility. Iir. Hubback

does not propose returning here until next October, by which time I hope to have the foundations in, and he told me before leaving

that he could but leave the decision as to the nature of the

foundations to me, sending me as soon as possible the weights to

be sustained on the various areas. This is a further responsibility

of no light nature.

As I am now about to commence this work in

addition to my ordinary duties I would ask you whether you could see your way to recommend me to Government for some recompense, such as a "Construction" or "Capital" allowance commensurate with the importance of these increased duties and responsibilities also that my title should be altered as already suggested.
